I haven’t blogged much this year… mostly because it’s been a slower year and also because how many times can I say the same sort of things about a wedding I’ve just shot before it becomes somewhat trite/meaningless.
But, that all changes today because I simply had to share a few photographs from Sophie and Sam’s wedding day in Worcestershire.
The gardeners amongst you will know that this summer was hot, hot, hot… with very little rain. My lawn is only just recovering. And Sophie and Sams day was the perfect reflection of this rarest of British summers. Baking hot with a beautiful Simpsons like sky. I probably lost about 3 stone. Losing my hair doesn’t help in such weather either!
That said, I had a wonderful time. Starting at Sophies parents house near Upton before moving to St. Marys Church for the wedding ceremony then moving on to one of my favourite venues to work at… Barns and Yard in Hanley.
Big thanks to everyone at Barns and Yard for the warm welcome. I haven’t worked there as much as I would like but hopefully someone reading this might ask me to join them there in the future cos its gorgeous!

But of course my biggest shout out must go to Sophie and Sam. It was a real joy spending time with them. I didn’t meet Sam in person until I got to the Church and his warm welcome and jovial personality really helped with what could have been a little awkward…err, not awkward.
