So, my first ‘full day’ of wedding photography in 18 months took place in late June at Blakelands Country House in Staffordshire and it was fantastic.

Daniel and Abby contacted me not so long ago asking me to step in as their initial photographer was unable to accommodate their new date (yes, like so many others they had to reschedule and we (wedding photographers/the industry as a whole) have been awesome in trying to help out where we can) and I am so glad they did.

Their day was hugely enjoyable. Maybe it is because we have been locked down for so long but it is so wonderful to see people having fun again…. just humans enjoying themselves as they should be.

Thank you so much to Daniel and Abby, together with their family and friends and all the staff at Blakelands.

Oh, and hopefully I will remember how to write blogs again as the summer progresses… cos ‘words’ as my wonderful niece would say.
