My 2019...
2019 was (thankfully) a little less traumatic than 2018. I shot loads and loads of weddings (the busiest year of my career to date I think) and spent a lot of time with family and that’s about it. I didn’t really get the chance to take any photos ‘just for fun’ which is something I am desperate to remedy next year but I suppose it’s a natural consequence of doing something you love for a living.
In addition to working lots the other standout experience of my year was the ‘joy’ that is having a bathroom in your home remodelled… something I never want to experience again and my advice would be if you don’t absolutely need to do it, don’t!
Anyway, by way of not making this post far too boring, here are a few of my favourite images from some of the weddings I have had the honour of photographing in the past year.
Massive thanks to all of the people I have worked for this year…. it has been an absolute pleasure. Thank you also to all the awesome suppliers I have worked with… Venues, hair stylists, make up artists, florists, caterers, magicians, videographers to mention just a few.
I’m shooting slightly fewer weddings next year as the sheer number this year really took it out of me towards the end of summer but I have some really exciting days to look forward to already and with a little bit of luck I should have a full diary.
I’m also planning on planting a tree for every wedding I shoot in 2020 (as well as for every new booking I take during the year). I hate seeing trees being cut down so I thought I would do a little something about it!
