72 hours in Hungary.
Earlier this year I was due to photograph a wedding in Spain. Sadly that fell through and I was left with a couple of flights that were paid for but no longer needed. Naturally I had booked the cheapest fare I could find so they were non refundable but British Airways were kind enough to rebook us onto a couple of flights later in the year.
But where to go?
My wife is Christmas crazy. I am not. Howwever as she puts up with a lot from me I suggested Budapest for the Christmas Markets and ruin bars, in addition to the beauty of the city itself.
It was wonderful. The city offers a really interesting clash between it’s history and the youthful feeling of the people. The markets were not to my tastes… the ruin bars were awesome.
