Wedding Photographer in Birmingham. Natalie and Stevies music filled wedding day.
NATALIE AND STEVIE
HOCKLEY SOCIAL CLUB, BIRMINGHAM
My last blog post of the year is a special one.
Not because of the imagery or even my destructive use of the english language.
Obviously I would like to think one or two of the images that follow are half decent but really this post is about the people and the relationships that this work allows me to build.
I first met Natalie back in 2019 when she was a Bridesmaid at her sister Laurens wedding to Andrew at Curradine Barns. Our paths met again a couple of years later at Rosanna and Toms wedding.
So, earlier this year I was shooting a nearby Street Cricket event for a great charity that encourages kids to play, err, Cricket when I got Natalies email asking me if I might be free later in the year to photograph her wedding. As luck would have it I was free and after a bit of a chat the deal was done… I was going to photograph her wedding to the remarably friendly and downright good chap Stevie in August.
I won’t go into too much detail about the day. Hopefully the images will give you some idea of just how much fun it was. What I will say is that it was full of love, joy, humour and loads of music.
What a talented bunch.
I also got to meet a legend as well… a member of a band that has formed the soundtrack for practically my entire life (not to mention a few points on my driving licence) …which of course made my year. Thank you for being so kind in letting me bore you with platitudes for a few minutes!
But of course the biggest thanks must go to Natalie and Stevie for asking me to join them and to Lauren, Andrew, Rosanna and Tom for getting me there in the first place. Referrals are the most humbling of things that can happen to me and they mean more than you can probably imagine. You are all wonderful people.
