Broughton Hall Estate Wedding, Kate and Alex's perfect day, April 2016.

My first 'full' wedding of 2016 took place at the gorgeous Broughton Hall Estate in Yorkshire at the end of April. Kate and Alex were married in the estates 'Eden' venue before moving onto the Utopia venue to celebrate with family and friends.

Speaking of family and friends, I first met Kate and Alex whilst photographing Georgina and Dave's wedding in the Lake District 18 months ago. It was really lovely seeing everyone again. It kind of felt like I was spending the day among friends, albeit whilst lumping around a couple of heavy cameras in the process.

The wedding day started off in typical British springtime style... with a lovely hail storm to greet my arrival. However, the weather soon improved and we were treated to a lovely albeit chilly Yorkshire day. There were a couple of things that I hadn't experienced at a wedding day before. The estates resident Peacock made a noisy arrival in the evening... he certainly made his presence felt, and Kate and Alex's wedding ceremony was a little different to anything I've seen before... they literally tied the knot!

I must thank Kate and Alex, as well as their family and friends for making my day so enjoyable. If this wedding was anything to go by, I really hope too photograph many more Yorkshire weddings in the future!

Here are a handful of Kate and Alex's wedding photographs.
